It used to hurt
Tiny pricks like icicles
Filling holes once blessed
With warmth

The knowledge of never
Akin to north winds
On naked skin,
You never really cared

Now I wonder,
Did I?

Robin,
the question itself
leaves holes.

But the poem warms
in knowledge.

Caring is in the eye of the storm, and in the heart of the eye.

Thank you.

The loss of a lover, was so poignantly expressed. I could feel it--I experienced the pain---literally and figuratively!

Fortunately, it sounds to me like you are now in the process of healing.

Take Care

Ron, I'm still pondering that question...  Thanks for reading!

Mikey, your comments are always "thoughtful" *smiles*  thank you!

Moonlight Romeo, Perhaps there is a silver lining somewhere in this. I appreciate your comment.

Noah, I'm fine... just a bit of melancholia from the past. Thank you, dear one.

Earth Angel, I think you've paid me the greatest compliment of all. Thank you!

TexasRose, I agree! Thank you for reading and commenting.
