*.*  You wonder how a man could ever love
*.*  A woman for all the reasons they give

What would I know of a man?
But the obvious as I was taught
Both of might and of meekness I can
Picture perfect by face or by thought

*.*  So finicky and different for sure
*.*  I’ve no idea how as a pair we’d live

What would I know of the dark?
But the flicker of lighthearted games
Both above and below any mark
Partly boy, partly oak in fine frames

*.*  They go to bed and give you their backside
*.*  Always the cold shoulder when you are warm

What would I know of the way?
But to see in his silence found tears
Both of sad and of happy display
Passed in mood, left to dry through the years

*.*  They think they are special, you shouldn’t chide
*.*  They want tender hugs, the strength of an arm

What would I know of a man?
But the hunger to make his own way
Both of strength and of weakness he can
Picture still by his hand each new day

*.*  He wants the frills without all of the fine print
*.*  She wants the tenderness and caring ear

What would I know of his heart?
But the deepest of seas to be sailed
Both of joy and of anguish in part
Partly saint, partly sinner prevailed

*.*  He wants the smell of that womanly scent
*.*  She wants him to simply say he’ll be here

What would I know of this love?
But the gathering into my arms
Both the sun and the moon be made of
Partly God, partly satan in charms

*.*  You wonder how a man could ever love
*.*  A woman for all the reasons they give

What would I know of a man?
But forgiveness and comfort combined
Both irreverent fire and sun tan
Picture perfect in love now resigned

Thanx Kathy....enjoyed the fencing duel...

For the record....SHE made me write all of
those awful things about you girls....Wanted
to get me in hot water...  (grins)...
I feel like I am in a big boiling pot,  and
someone is checking to see if the stew needs
more salt.....

Barry and Kathy

I really enjoyed the back and forth of this...so poignant it gave me goose bumps with its reality, sweetness and sense of humor.  Thank you again for another wonderful duet!!

ThisDiamond - another great duet from the two of you. Very nice, as it reads back and forth...
