l a u n d r y
lurking there
in the depths
of the hamper

not playing fair
at all!
cuz while I’m not looking
it multiplies
filling
spilling and
stilling my thoughts

it’s wrought
havoc
on my Saturday play
for no pay
must slave away
just so
I can go
to and fro

without
being arrested
for exposure
of a most
indecent kind

I’m losing my mind
over
fabric multiplicity
its capacity
to render me
helpless
to its power
to bloom and flower
blossoms of soiled rags
that are drags
to leisure

ROTFL, Virginia has seen my laundry mountain!
Enjoyed the poem...but not the similarities.

Thanks, Midnitesun, I thought "misery loved company" though.

My dryer has a portal to an other dimension filled with missing socks.

yep, paladin, I think they make them that way...a special feature to outfit those in our tandem realm...my aging short-circuit has robbed me, temporarily, of the term used to describe a 'parallel world' wait, is that it? Did it come back...wish it had brought our socks.

(smiles) Oh Virginia, I know too how stressful it can be to do laundry, I am not thrilled of it either and it always seems to pile up when you let it go, this is wonderfully said, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Vas,

Old laundry, new laundry never ends. At least we don't have to go down to the river
