“OR SOMETHING MORE”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
If the pain runs deep
inside me,
will you touch it away…
Have you felt it also...
Tears have flowed to
the ground from my
eyes that sing out for
one, and aloneness
bears with me as a
companion in the
still and quiet
of this night…
Yet my pen flows with
words of romance, as
it touches down on
parchment writing of
you, but only knowing
of despair…
To kiss away falling
tears with dreams of
warm lips caressing
mine, a friend would
you be,
or
something more…
Tender and touching. Words flow like water down a shallow stream, slow and soothing. Very nice...
(sigh) Oh Bill, this is so sensitive and beautiful, sweet friend, I love it, I wish for true love to always come and kiss those ears away and for her to let you do the same for her, this is heartfelt, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
Noah Eaton
Aloneness, a companion that doesn't keep warm, hold tight or whisper reasurrance through the night...still it is there.  And I guess, that is better than nothing.
Excellant write, Bill.
BC....this reminds me so much of my father's
thoughts each day of his life....after losing
three wives to cancer, etc...  such loneliness.
But...it doesn't always have to be that way..  One has to take a step out into the
world....and see what comes to them...
I think this may be my favorite of yours, of those I've read.
That first stanza could even stand alone, too, and be most powerful to the reader; it's a WOW!!! for sure!
Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
