Here I am
on this sunny day
sitting at the beach
I have to shield my eyes
with my hand
from the glare of the water
children are playing
in the breaking waves
their voices
full of laughter

A man is swimming
his arms rising and falling
the broken water
sparkling around him…
showers of gold
in the Summer air

I close my eyes
and remember
an other Summer
my heart skips a beat
by the memory
of your hands
on my body
my tingling skin
caused
by a mix
of sea salt
and your touch

Suddenly
I feel a drift of air
and I know
that the heat of the day
has to give way
to the cool
of the evening…
like the heat
of our love
had to give way
to the cold
of goodbye…

Neeraja, you wear melancholy well,
but I shall be pleased,
when the veil lifts
and the kiss is met...

Neeraja - it can be a cold one for sure. But down the road perhaps a warm hello will happen...

Neeraja...
You write of pain so poignantly well...
but...
I wish for you a warm hello
a hug to make your feelings glow
to put that smile back on your face
and brighten your esteem with grace...
~ gentle hugs
