"Autumn Walks"

From break of day till sunset, serene
Up from the blood the harvest moon
Bled across fields with orange sauce
As a sun rests on horizons unseen.

Autumn walks crunch under summer anarchy;
Nature's palm strokes her brethren's cheek.
'Twas that blustery day when birds hide
That spoken winds call in coquettish whisper.

Oh, change of life, change of season
Brings me to knees, to teach us of reason
Putting thanks in smiles on sad face
Building memories that time can't erase.

In the mockery of the silence of woods
Among the still of green canopied hoods
Is a natural cradle for small sons of God
As they wait for new seasons to burst
forth from pod.

(In response to GreenEyes' challenge
for Autumn poetry.  Hope this fits the bill!)

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, I too feel a little bit sad when the summer changes to autumn, but yet I also feel happy because each season has its own blessings and I love the colors of the trees and all I really miss is the sweet singing songbirds and flowers! (big hugggssssss) This is such a gorgeous poem and the artwork fits it perfectly, sweet friend, I am a big fan of your wonderful poems, God Bless You, I hope you had the happiest birthday, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Golly gee whiz!  Thankx Noah!
Still tinkering with that middle stanza, and experimenting with some cadences.  I kinda like the nonrhyming middle verse, and then i kinda don't.  If you have any thoughts on it, let me know, will ya?  Muchos gracias on the Birfday wishes:  it was all i dreamed of...and more!

You met the challenge well, Jeff...
The poem is beautiful and autumn is my very favorite season.
The best time for acorn gathering.

Jeff, you never fail to leave behind a bit
of you in your poetry...I can see you falling

You have reaffirmed my reasons why Autumn is and always has been my favorite season. And if it's possible to not see enough beauty in the colors outside all one needs to do is read and see your poem. Thank you, SR. *s

Jeff darling heart, this has to be one of your utter utter best, when the flow is as smooth as water over glass, when the phrasing is as delicately meshed into the whole as to make the mind sigh, when the touch of the words falls in a soul with a velvet touch, then I know I’ve read something special. This fulfils the promise of beauty that is offered by your name, when I see your name I know its quality. THIS Is simply superb writing, and I love it utterly utterly utterly. Stunning image superb writing it had to bear YOUR name

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire
