Randy’s Dragon

I vie with the lamb this beast that I am.
This dragon of soar in heart and in core
I roar and I fuss, snort fire and cuss
But really a lamb, this beast that I am

I fly in the blue, to catch heavens hue
Paint on color to, fool my medulla
I would to the eye, just a butterfly
Living the hours, sniffing the flowers.

But I’m repulsive, and quite illusive
Really a bumpkin much like a pumpkin
But cannot convince the queen or the prince
Of my real pretense or my innocence.

So now I stay in a cave where I lay
Dreaming in rascals writing poems symbols.
Hoping to net me, a women who’ll let me.
Love her and stir her, kiss her and hug her.

And we would fly the magic of sigh
Into the lie of a dragons eye

...or are you really Puff, my friend?
made of dreams and stuff, no end?
Your dragon's lair is here, in blue
and Randy's friends surround you, true...

You're going to be the dragon in the cave at first aren't you? Then you'll turn into a lamb.....I know your ways.

This is as cute as they come Sy! A real fun read with some great satirical intent.

I'm smiling now for this is what I already knew ...
the truth about the dragon that lives inside of you.
I saw thru the smoke and fire a long time ago ...
past the heartburn to the desire that is your inner glow.

Randy's no monster, that's just a disguise of alibis ...
come out of the cave and we'll both be butterflies.

Enchantress,
I'll see what I can do.

JM,
To this poem I say I cannot resist
And I'll come out if you really insist.
But you'll have to help me paint my wings
This along with some other things.

hey stir me

you usually do
perhaps not in the same way twice, but then who wants the same dish of poi every day?

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,

Ah, this reads like a fairytale, it just needs the happy ending where the romantic dragon gets his princess.

Thank you for letting me in on the real you----Now I'm more confused than ever! hehe

Enjoyed the humour---seems you're just as convoluted, I mean, "multi-faceted" as your writing!

Have a great day!

Mayhaps we are sheep in wolves clothing?

Mayhaps a Monarch soft and delicate sitting
on top the dragon's nose.....whispering
softly in his ear...telling him it ain't
time to eat yet....

Could that be our Sy....  and btw...no
smooches for me,  OK>>>>

No, I've never tasted poe, and don't think I want to, however the other thing I thought of was pablum and that isn't quite what I wanted. Guess I could have used "Cream of Wheat," or oatmeal.

Seymour darling heart Truly exquisite writing, I love your writing any which way it is served but when you stir in the dragon’s roar, and sprinkle in the touch of butterfly it transmutes into something that is exquisite beyond measure.

In touch of mind you fly free
On the back of wiles fantasy
To frolic in starlight’s glow
Simply let your dreamers thoughts flow
I’ll gather dews of soft dawn
To bathe your soul in early morn
If you’ll gift me dragons heart
Then show me how the magic starts
On wings of light I’ll join you
To dance around the pages blue
At close of day I’m away
To come again another day
To stroke your thought just like this
Is to receive a magic kiss
You have to know I love this utterly utterly love this. Truly exceptional writing from you darling heart

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Lyra,
Thank you sweet for the dragon hugs.

Marsha,
It is always a welcome sight to see your replies. Each time you sprinkle a little star dust over me and I am carried off for the moment. Thank you dear and your poetry is superb.
