While love sang to me
was I gone missing?

Deaf in the world
of spoken feelings,

still reeling
as tainted was
my heart.

I'm not sure.

I heard a whispered phrase.

A note caressed ear,
but heart of loss
turned away.

Now,
within the hush
of forgetfulness,
I'll listen.

Please,
sing to me again.
