Can you tell the difference?
Tweenst the original or clone?
They have the same appearance,
Down to their every bone.

Mary's lamb is now a mom,
Her family's elated.
Not by test tube breeding,
But with a ram she mated.

Now mating's not essential,
For creatures on the brink,
Of becoming endangered species,
Or ever ending up extinct.

If a species has expired,
We can take some "DNA"
That's all that is required,
To bring them back someday.

The idea is quite amazing,
It's the perfect plan,
We could clone a million pigs,
With just one can of SPAM.

We could fill the whole world over,
Why we could clone a bunch,
With the crumbs we have leftover,
From what we ate at lunch.

Toe,
The poem is cute and clever but the title sheer genius.

Kitty, the workings of his mind amazes everybody! Yes, I suppose there's a little good and bad but that ugly captures around 98%!

You leave yore hands off my Spam, mister! Better that we clone one pig to make a million cans of Spam.

Toe, now I hope I've got the right person this time---this is my 430 th  posting in this my first week at PIP----and for some unknown reason I began confusing another PIP poet's man with you,  which got me in quite a jam! I got lambasted 'cross the net  because of my pooped out poetry brain! Things are smoothed over since I've made amends! I'd have been teed right off too if I were her! There they were posting love poems to each other and I was replying as though you were her lover! Glory be. Her man was so right when he said I didn't know my rags from rods!

See all the fuss yous bin missin' during your li'l absence!

Now, back to your poem. It was great! And I think the next animal to be cloned should be you---there can never be enough clever, funny poets as thou!

Lots of Laughter
Linda

Toe darling man oh wow this was very very clever, you have no idea how much this made me laugh, and ‘Deer’s retort had me smiling too.

You know there really are never enough good writers, and those who add humour and laughter to their accomplishments are few and far between, we are so lucky to have you and ‘Deer to keep us all smiling. I love this it is as always an utterly first class piece of writing. You know I really do love this. Thank you for the huge grin

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire
