After the Frost

he wrote
but his letters were so small
and my glasses were dirty
and the sink too far away
to expend the energies

maintenance can be so strenuous
and futile

like pulling weeds
in a November garden
after the frost

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Don't try so hard,
To pull those weeds.
Wait 'til spring,
Then plant more seeds.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Virginia, I agree with Linda, take some time to let the anxiety subside then when the frost disappears and springs sunshine comes in re-approach! (sigh) This is wonderfully touching, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thanks, both of you for reading and your advice. btw this was inspired by a poem I read here earlier today. The letters were so very small I had a really difficult time reading them through my dirty glasses.

It inspired a poem about maintaining relationships that are covered as with frost.

I'm heading off to church now so I don't make a spectacle of myself by a 'late' grand entrance.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

So, Gabriel, did you come in because you thought you were the Frost of which I spoke?

I'm curious about your "Oops."

btw, probably many have asked or at least have wanted to ask, who's your grandfather? Robert?

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Virginia, I liked this and sure can relate to small print and expending any more energy than is absolutely necessary.   :-)

Hugs, Marti
