you pulled my eyelids over their shades
held my elbows on the nightstand abruptly kicking the
sofa with one small step and numbly cursing bloody toes
for they know not of thinking as you do look stupid
in those clothes stepping into the night not unconvicingly
half dressed as Death half divided in shredded lives
you would claim these as your own pure sight of confidence
I saw you kill the reaches of a curious hand I could not look away
I could not recoil as a serpent the tree blocks my vision so wide is its unleavened breadth
slowing down the rhythm of day breaking open shells choking on hoarse apple seeds
vomiting indigo blood crepuscular veins of golden hue kick my eyeballs shut
the sockets of my skull impregnated with the devil’s son
i weep in the clockwork orange

Walt,
this brought back vivid memories of the Clockwork Orange and all its mania...thanks, I think.
