Yesterday’s Dream Tomorrow’s Hope

Yesterday’s dreams can be tomorrow’s goal
If you can give to the depths of your soul
Inside your heart there is a chance to be
Everything you wish if you try constantly
Only those who dare can seize their chance
To learn the steps and dance the dance
What are you waiting for, take my hand
And I’ll dance with you like a firebrand

Yesterday’s dreams can be tomorrow’s hope
Feel the rise of wishes and know you’ll cope
There’s no need to fear you can win
Look inside you’ll find strength within
I know it’s hard because I’ve been there too
Fought the demons of pain just like you
But you’re not alone look and you’ll see
Others around you on their life’s journey

Yesterday’s dreams are tomorrow’s wishes
Wrapped in love and sealed with kisses
The path you’re on could make you fall
But if you need aid give me a call
My hand is outstretched to steady you
I know exactly what you’ve been through
Chances are that you can’t see the light
Ask me my friend I’ll clear your sight

Yesterday’s dreams wait on tomorrow’s shore
Ready to welcome you home once more
There’s a light burning there just for you
And warmth and hope are waiting too
If you reach out your hand to touch me
I’ll guide you back to haven’s safety
There’s no need to fear look to the light
It is there ahead waiting warm and bright

Marsha

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

This is how I feel today:

I was just an interlude,
a lull between your busy
a lesson unfinished,
a process in overkill.

I was never a "meant to be"
and in all my disclosures
I failed to represent that
in which I believed.

I was a wannabe, that never had,
never would and never could
and all that is left of me
are my thoughts of beyond.

As I look into the mirror I can see you facing me, reaching out and if I could I would take your hand.

As always, I love your words,
and how they can make me feel.
Hugsss

Alice

Mushy dear darling girl,  you know I don't
write long replies like you.....I guess that
is why I try to give you good poems...to
make up for the lack of such beautiful
comments as you...

In your fourth line...I do believe that "your"
should be "you".....  Take a look at it...

This is such an inspiring poem....Yes,  I too
have been there, done that,  and certainly
any one of us could reach out to me in time
of need...  I too....am here...

Thanx Mushy...

Magnus darling as always your instinct is never wrong thank you, and YOU were right.

You know I rarely return to reply to my poems, not because I don’t care which replies I get simply I prefer to let you know how much you mean to me by replying to your work. And anyway I never seem to have time, or I can’t find them because they’ve slipped into oblivion, oh well c’est la vie mon cher, n’est pas?.

Okay I’ll be good, I promise, I won’t slip into French in again

Thank you muchly Alice, Magnus and Lady for replying. Love and light

Love and warm stuff

I hope you're right.

Forgetting all I'm lacking
Completely and complete
I'll take your invitation
You take all of me

In the hope of tomorrow lies yesterday's path
the future unwritten in pain's aftermath
and yet there is courage for people who care
and well trodden pathways for people to share
the hope of tomorrow is more than it seems
when the spirit of care is in yesterday's dreams.

This is so soothing to the heart and spirit.
