Poetic Dance

In poetic dance of wordy delight
My dreams are spun of starry night
Through places where hope lies still
Into shadows where heart loses will
Don’t ask for truth where darkness rules
For on that path shame now crawls
The only chance to find your way
Is reach for love and make it stay

In poet’s wonder hope will rise
To bathe your soul in sweet surprise
If you’re unsure of what you seek?
Look inside and take a peek
If you give up your wishes too
How will you ever fight on through?
Take a chance that you might win
Open your heart and look within

In poetic flight of imagined kiss
Hope waits to wash your mind in bliss
Give me your hand and waltz free
Give joyous hope its liberty
Without a taste of freedoms voice
You’re held bound with no choice
With poet’s peace covering you
Hope is born and dreams come true

Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh
