Just a thanks by repost, for all the poets who write from their hearts, simply for the joy of sharing...you are family, and This is Home...

Poets

we have seen her write
of up and up
of elephants
and deep desires
we have seen her twirl
and swirl and catch
herself upon
warm funeral pyres

she takes a bit of twinkling line
and twirls herself therein
she does it with a certain dash ~
and takes it for a spin

we’ve seen him,
then, do the same
in jest, then in chagrin
he looses yet
the in of him
and we collectively
catch our breath
and wonder where he’s been

he takes a bit of crinkling lines
and curls around wherein
he runs ahead, then makes a splash
and takes us all with him

the poets come to play
and say
and we read of right
and wrong
we catch our breath in
butterflies
and we cast our hopes
in song

we see a flag of red and blue
it
flies there,
upon the wind
we
try to capture moments
replete
to share it all again

but is the feel, the emote
the one you feel
which the poet
cast in wrote
does it catch the chest of you
or is the read
simply a glue
that binds us all in this
as one
or merely stand
as dandelions
gold in sun

something here
for the day
then in a puff,
tomorrow’s play

or were the words of
him
or her
merely a thought cast down
or did you read
then read again
and feel the lift of frown
did you get one thing
from them
and in turn
gift it back?

did your pen take upon it
verve
and did you watch
the sweep and curve

of your own thoughts,
perhaps, here,
intertwined?

did you then feel
for a moment’s bless

this poem, it could have been mine?
