            I am

I am liquid, or so I am told
       Can't quite decide who is me
I wonder if I'll ever fit the mold
       Emotions more like potpourri
I hear tarnish on a heart of gold
       Love comes with no guaranty
I see my future written out in bold
       All the mistakes lit the marquee
I want back a soul once sold
       My heart races wild and free
I am liquid, or so I am told
       Can't quite decide who is me
I pretend I understand my form
       Changing with all I see
I feel only touch can make you warm
       Yet, too warm in steam I flee
I touch emotions start to swarm
       Love can bring such jubilee
I worry within my heart so torn
       Alone my heart an amputee
I cry then become a ragging storm
       Holding back now is no luxury
I am liquid, or so I am told
       Can't quite decide who is me
I understand how love grows cold
       Never heart break to foresee
I say I have love…behold
       Voided heart filled with glee
I dream love within paroled
       Ever to adore is my decree
I try my heart not to scold
       With giving in or letting go the key
I hope again my arms will hold
       The risk of love to be
I am liquid, or so I am told
       Can't quite decide who is me

Can only leave one filled with Glee
