Bored of Patience

Oh my God, please!
Listen to my old wounds cry in pain
Was is so long ago that we inflicted them
together . . .
Compassion is a lesson that cannot be taught
It has but one teacher
It echoes in my ears with hollow truth rings
Ennui on the mountaintop
prophets to my left and right
Parables dangled like spider fresh silken thread
descending, teasing just beyond grasp

scuttled, at rest
a haggard ship barnacled with experience
regrets moored at piers of abandonment
It's been a good life -
at times:a magical hymn

a top with dulled spindle
spins much slower, now
but fast enough
to match the spinning of Earth
and not fall

off

Jeff

A spirit walk you take in words, and wrap the end up with a nod and a sigh.  I much enjoy your poetry.  You have a great talent for deep thought and intelligence...mixed with just right words.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Jeff, I agree so very much, sweet friend, compassion is something only ourselves can be taught, and somehow I believe one who suffers more understands compassion more because thenn you know what it is like and you can show others you are no stranger to the tears and through it all comes peace and justice! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Prohets certainly are riddles, as well as all those parables so rich in metaphor. Beautiful write about the struggle to find spiritual meaning and fulfillment dear! I think this one deserves a A.
