When I First Saw You
Happy Birthday Krissy

When I first looked into your deep blue eyes
I felt the jolt of such a surprise
No one explained to me just how I’d feel
As if naught but you and I were real
To feel the gentle touch of your sweet skin
You opened your mouth and I fell in
To hold you close was my only delight
In you I found such warmth and truth's light

When I first laid my eyes on your sweet face
I thought it held such amazing grace
As we lay together contentedly
I knew right then this was meant to be
I didn’t expect to feel bathed in bliss
Or the joy of placing a small kiss
Not wanting to let you out of my sight
I held you close all through the warm night

When I first held you close and tenderly
I was amazed at life’s mystery
My baby daughter a bundle of love
Warm and pink a gift from HIM above
You lay there in my arms sweetly sleeping
I was so happy I wished to sing
Despite the aching and feeling quite sore
Love flowed then and will forever more

Marsha

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

Joey the kangaroo from down under says have a hippy, hoppy birthday. Jump around and enjoy yourself.
BTW pretty neat pome for a mom but it's not as good as the one you wrote for me

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Marsha?

My daughter is named "Krista"--follower of Christ---we call her Krissy--and she's all blonde hair, and flip of finger--way too much like me

this reminded me of her, and made me ache (she's been gone on a camping trip...and it's killing me...)

sigh...she writes too...

loved this K and M.

Look at all the Moms with a "Krys"...my youngest daughter fits her name so well...

Krystal Joy...

and often goes by Krys...but I've been known to slip and hug my Krissie a time or two...

Happy Birthday, YOUNG LADY....

I saw this last night, Marsha...but I was so tired that I thought if I replied to it, it would be untintelligible....
This is an absolutely lovely and loving tribute to Krissy...
There is something about maternal instincts, and first time motherhood...
I remember being pregnant with Eric and wondering how I would be able to love him because I didn't feel that instinct yet.
But the moment he was born...the very first time I saw him......I fell completely in love with him.

By the way...my stepdaughter's name is another Krys....but spelled a bit differently.  Her name is Cristin and everyone calls her Crissy.

~ happy birthday hugs to Krissy and to you for bringing her into the world

Ok, Gals!  Here's one for you, Maaaaaaashaaaa
and one for Krissy 'cause it's her birfday:

HUUUGGGGGG

It makes a person's heart glow with delight
when they read the Great Mushy's heartsighs
and Krissy is about as cool as a daughter can get
n'est pas?

Godzilla-sized wishes for great Birfday, Krissy
from your friends, Dulcy, Batman, and Jeff.

Mushy, does that mean everything you told me about her is a lie!?

LOL! It's a wonderful poem to an equally wonderful little lady....you are both blessed
