My dawg up and died but he left me a hairball
You know the kind that sticks in yer throat
I went to the vet, he said jes yer be careful
But he took my dawg and he traded a goat

I have the worst luck cause the goat went a wand'rin'
Stood on the tracks with the trains passin' by
I was cut up by his awful meand'rin'
Not nearly so cut as the goat I did buy

I brought me a pig, to save me from cussin'
Finest show sow that I ever did see
My wife said no way and  set up a fussin'
So I farmed out that pig to my brother Jeffrey

My wife slapped my face said a pig ain't for takin
You giv it away, without no reward
Your brother Jeffrey gets the coin for the bacon
And you got nothing 'cept your old rusty ford

So I said to my wife I got me a hairball
Left by my dawg what was faithful and true
And I got me a vet so you better be careful
What I done to my dawg I kin git done to you.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

PROMISE you won't sing this one in Tampa !!!
LOL-ing all over the place~
You are just toooooooooooo much~
You know ... you could probably get that recorded in Nashville and it would hit the top of the Country Charts !!

Darling girl this is hilarious and having had the pleasure of you singing it in my ear I’m convinced it could be a number one in Nashville. Do I love it? You know I do

A dawg with a hairball will surely choke
And since he did you’re heart is broke
He were the only friend you’ve ever had
Don’t you think dear heart that is rather sad?

That pig you gave to your cousin Jeffrey
I think it turned up in my dinner yesterde
I’m not saying it was your pig definitely
But I never trusted your cousin Jeffrey

Did I hear you singing about your goat?
Did I tell you Cousin Lou got it to float?
He said he could make its milk real light
So he used helium I guess that’s not right

Of course it died you knew it would
It couldn’t survive no other goat could
It’s a shame really because I had a plan
I was gonna sell the milk to the milkman

There you go, now don’t say I don’t give you a poetic reply, it’s not a good one but how could it be? This is splendiferous sing it again Keth darling heart sing it again

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

Keth this is fantastic mum sung this to me, not a tuneful experience, and I laughed so loud I had a stitch. Wonderful writing you did it again, superbly crafted and brilliant. I know why mum and Krissy adore your writing, it is such a clever mix of wit and skill. Beautifully done , can I have more please.

lots of love
Emma
