to post another poem, since hardly anyone has read the last few I've posted. But, there have been so many days lately that I haven't written one, that when they start pouring forth, I can't help myself. So here's another one.

Etching Promises

I’d like to bathe
in peppermint
beside the vibrant sea
and wash away
this malcontent
that rises over me,

to listen to
the whispered wind
as breezes cleanse the air
and prop my feet
upon the sand
beside a lounging chair,

to feel the sun
upon my face,
a gentle warming glow,
and take the hours
in slower pace
with tide’s sweet ebb and flow.

would you like
to join me, Dear,
in ribbons and in lace
etching promises
so clear
with ev’ry snug embrace

I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Thanks, you, two. Pretty pathetic aren't I.

I went looking to see if there was some form of body wash or splash that was peppermint scented. It sounds to titillating to me. Didn't find it. Think I ought to submit the idea to "Bath and Body Works" and make a million. Of course, Bath and Body Works doesn't have a store in my town, so they may already have this 'flavor.'

I appreciate the read and the time to comment!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,

(smiles) Oh Virginia, last time I checked, I think they might have had a peppermint flavor, but I bet your version of it would be so beautiful! (kiss on cheek) I'm so sorry if I haven't been a big follower of your poems, I truly wish I could read every poem on the site but know I truly care about your work and whenever I do have the opportunity you will be read! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
