rolling on the floor laughing I discover that this berber has way more give than the shag ever had (even when I raked it) the only other thing I really have to do is to make sure I don't run into the table legs like I did last time (the doctor said that my arm healed well, thank you) I had the cast done in a nice pastel white that really brought out my eyes a few people signed it, none of them famous I've always wondered why we sign casts is it because we'd sign people's bones if we could? or, is it just a bizarre way of leaving our mark on other people's bodies? I mean, sometimes, we leave marks on the body marks on the soul, marks on the face "skid marks on my heart" the song says (I wonder if you can make those with your hand?) so, let me tell you more about this cast they put it right where the arm bone's connected to the collar bone (dem dry bones indeed! they snapped like a bad calcium supplement commercial) and I couldn't write for a month, well, with my left hand I could but, you ever try writing with your opposite hand? it's like trying to read Serbo-Croatian on a sunny day you just can't really do it without a lot of practice (and a translator named Vaclav) so, I bought some of that voice-recognition software, trouble was I didn't recognize the sound of my own voice so, I had to get right it after a while (besides, I would up sounding like HAL) "open the car bay doors Dad" "my mind is going" anyway, my left hand never really got any stronger just became as useful to me as my appendix (do you think they call it an appendix because it was in the back of the manual when they created the first man and woman?) was it left over in the box when they were done? so, yeah, my left hand, couldn't really use it tried to write, just couldn't do it so, I hired somebody to come in once a week and write down my thoughts they must have felt my thoughts meant something they charged me $10.50 an hour to do it! my left hand got weak, I couldn't write then, finally, the case came off (they were great!) and I could write again, just like I am now writing up a storm, flying across the page telling you just exactly why I shouldn't be down here rolling on the floor laughing ------------------------------------------------------------------ To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Awww sweetie...you need me to come take care of you?? After all- I did away with Martha Stewart and took over her identity so's I can cook for you...smiles... this is too cute..I can only PICTURE you down there...and? tell me more about my eyes?? that's the line that came to mind... really enjoyed this John..and OH the mental pictures you render!!! take care sweetie!!! Sven - my friend you are something else. I didn't know about the cast on the left arm, or the non-writing abilities taken away for a while. Always enjoy what you write. Keep them coming now that the arm is healed, or healing. BC |
