Isn’t there room at all
Even those
With no clear cut call
Can’t we disagree
And still be free
To talk some more
To love and not get thrown out the door
Why must I believe
Exactly the way you do
We could do so much to relieve
If you would just give me the nod
To believe the way I do is not odd
But to let me have the room to stew
Why is it so hard for you
To let me ponder
Are you afraid I will wander
Does it threaten you for me to wonder
Is this what forces you to plunder
All of us who see with a different slant
Why tell me I can’t
I think there is room
For more thoughts and beliefs
Your approach feels like a tomb
Come on get some relief
Let’s find out what tolerance does
Why - you might just experience real love

(big hugggssssss) Oh Paul, I know just how you feel, I believe tolerance is a very strong part of true love for if we have the heart to listen and play by ear, then both feel comfortable and can understand each other more! (smiles) This is wonderful wisdom, sweet friend, I am a huge fan of your gorgeous words, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Paul, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Paul

Life would be lots better if we could all be tolerant of other points of view. It is what makes life interesting, afterall...diversity.  Enjoyed your view here in this poem...you have an attitude I admire.

I think we should all think like this, Paul...
If we did, the world would be a far better place.

sure does take two for this!!!
(that's why I stayed single sooo long...)

you ring true here Paul...the worst thing is when you are not free to have your own ideals in peace...

enjoyed this!

The Good Knight
appealing to lady upon balcony
offering a moments gift
to last a lifetime

Fascinating inter-rhymes and rhythms, Paul.
Difficult subject presented with aplomb and grace.

Goodknight - tolerance at times seems to be fleeing. But you have brought the words to light of just getting along. Wonderful write...

tolerance and apathy have such a fine line between them

which one is most likely a product of love?

Oooh, wow, I opened a whole can of them, that time.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

So many real questions.....The title is
certainly appropriate for this poem...
