On A Journey To The Unknown

I Have No Clue

I wonder if it is possible to for your heart to drown
From all of the tears all of the tears you stuff inside
Refusing to let the tears to be seen by anyone
Sometimes I feel them starting to form up in my eyes

What good would it do to give in and cry anyway
There is nothing I can do to make him stop drinking
It never does me any good to try to talk to him
He always says so many things without even thinking

I listen to what he says to me, always tearing me apart
And, I wonder if he really means all of the things he says to me
Does he even care how much it hurts to hear the things he says
Or that he is destroying all of the love I felt for him completely

Should I feel all this guilt for these feelings I now have
I try so hard to keep the things he said from hurting me
But with each and everything he said and did each time
It became a little harder to keep the words from hurting me

Have I lost all of the goodness I once felt inside my heart
I know without a doubt my love for him was really true
A forgiving heart is what I always had with everyone before
The answers to all of these questions, I have no clue

It seems to me that you have given far more
than one should ever have to...And you do
deserve to feel the warmth of a meaningful
relationship....Sometimes...choices are hard.

A friend of mine once said that "in wine is
truth"...meaning that what one says when
they have been drinking is what they feel,
it just gives them the courage to say it...

Surely you don't deserve that from anyone..

sigh...I am not sure about drowning, but the explosions? are certainly resoundingly powerful. My heart aches for you--I'm considered a smart chick myself, and yanno what? I don't know how to give up either.

Hugs.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Sue, this is so very sad, sweet friend, you do have a very loving heart, it is just that he seems afraid how you will react in asking for help and I hope soon he can open his heart out to you in need to rehabilitate! (sigh) My thoughts are with you, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I know that you haven't lost the goodness in your heart, Sue...
I have heard and read and felt that coming from you.
Please don't blame yourself.  Maybe you should go to Alanon, I'm not sure if I spelled it right, but its for families of alcoholics....sort of like a support group where you can talk to other people with the same problems.  I think they are all over the United States...
maybe that will help you.

oh...came back to add? that I liked the small print here--even though my eyes are shot--I felt it was an effective tool for that certain "smallness" felt in such confusion. Very nice touch there, Sue!
