God Is In Us All Inspired by 'Deer's God Is In Us All My friend you've reminded me of something I'd forgot That God is held within us all, his love will never rot He's there inside me as I wake with me though the day He hears my thoughts, he sees my dreams, he listens to what I say He understands all that I am, yet He still loves me I’ve sinned and walked the crooked path but he has set me free My mind was shut I didn’t see I would surely fall My friend your soul’s telling me that He loves us one and all My friend you've given me a gift something rare and true You've shown me that if I try that I'll come shining through I’ve witnessed life can be good when it is filled with love There's beauty, truth and honesty, a gift from Him above He does not plead for silver he doesn’t ask for gold Nor does he turn his face away although our faith turns cold All we get from Him is a powerful gift of light My friend your eyes are telling me that fear doesn’t live in night My friend you've recalled to me the truth by which we live You've said that love is there for us, it is a gift to give Your wise words have restored in me my lost memory That HE doesn't wish us to live on in pain filled misery He made this world of beauty and filled it with love’s light And then he put us here on earth to walk within His sight The choice he put before us to stay with him or go My friend my thanks for telling me the things I need to know Marsha Breathe through the heat of our desire |
