Almost A Phantasy

Tonight I reach for you, longing
for that lingering kiss
that fell upon me once upon a time,
near a brook, in a woods,
almost a fantasy to me.

You could be my Knight anytime,
and I would be your Lady O, if only
distance were an illusion.

You phantomsize my dreams,
twisting my spirit until I am spinning,
the pleasure of your touch
leaving me always, in want of more.

When nothing makes sense,
I retreat a bit, in silent despair.
We've yet to dance, in metaphor and real,
my closeness too tempting,
so sheer in wait.

From the depths of desire,
my body craves the beat,
heart against heart, lips brushing lips
no space between, walls let down,
a touch to cover me in the lacing of you.

You are my forever Knight, and I
shall forever be the Lady, feeling ageless
when in your arms, feeling loved,
when in your presence and when distance is far,
I feel ghost fingers flowing, tracing
the layers of my memories.
I remember when...
and would like  to remember now
again and again.

As Always for you,
Lovingly,
M

Hello Maureen

This was so beautifully written as your words transported me back in time to the days of Romeo & Juliet.  I loved this and thank you for sharing your talent.

Take care......Sue

Old fashioned and romantic, Maureen.
It takes me back to medieval times in a very beautiful way.
I like your new pic.

Lovely words, beautifully penned, what more can I say?
Except perhaps, that you are in America, and we Knights live here in England!!! LOL

Lyra, I like to think that I am a bit old fashioned but yet always willing to accept and learn.

I thought a new picture might perk me up when having to see myself on here *s
thank you (hugss)

doreen, thank you for the kind words. I have been reading your upbeat poetry lately and enjoying you too. Desire and hope are pretty much all I have left in me..but don't be surprised when the gloominess of existence breaks through once again.

Thank you again,
M

MM..you have said  the words that can make me smile this morning..that is  a plus for me.

Do you really believe all Knights live in England? And if so  Sir John... do you know any I could meet??? Even a doctor, maybe?

just kidding..I will never get across the ocean.
