What would I miss the most
if you were no longer here?
Sweet words of love whispered
softly into my ear.
Falling asleep each night
encircled in your arms.
Smiling at the knowledge
you can't resist my charms.
Or the way you reach out,
touching as I walk past.
Unconditional love,
always putting me first.
Holding me close to you,
your warm breath on my face.
All that I would miss, if,
I had it in the first place.

Ok I am doing the unthinkable here and putting a reply up on my own poem
Just wanted to let you all know that I am not back just yet. I put this poem up as someone just nags too much, hey Mark

When I am back online I will check for replies. Thank you in advance.

Love Dee

Love the image those last 2 lines leave.

Dee- One day when your eyes are to the sky searching for the wisdom of eagles and the strength of the wind, I imagine you are going to find a constellation written just for you and it will go something like this ....................

What would I miss
if there were no ear to whisper in?
Soft petals of lobes
where each night would begin.
Trailing tangles of embrace
caressing each thought
Smiling at your charms
that this day to me brought
Reaches of passion
desperate to share this dance
Kisses of unconditional love
given with every chance
Lips to cheek
in the comfort of peaceful sleep
Searching the heavens for a dream;
yours to keep

...........................

Your life is only just beginning now that you have taken the drivers seat and I for one will be watching your travels and rejoicing with each new turn of happiness you find as you highlight it on your map of memories.  I know I nag about you not being here when I finally returned, but you know that I am elated to see you where your life is headed.  Take your time and keep an eye on the sky and I will be as patient with your return as you were with mine.  Archives work for all of us you know.

Whoa...excellent write, Dee...didn't expect that ending, but very cool write, nonetheless...

very beautiful writing Dee.  Whatever it is that takes you from us now, we will surely be here when you return.  Hugs and peace.

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.

================================

this is a bittersweet beauty Dee-girlie...
and so good to see your smiling face here!!
How can we deny the cowboy...he even nags poetically
We are saving your spot...do what ya gotta do and until then take care of you and we love ya girlie-girl

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much ...
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch.

Dee darling girl how utterly utterly perfect is this, words warm  and delightful flow over my soul from your pen. How beautifully you write, how clear the images of love are. This is very special your writing is always a cut above this is especially tender. I can only say this is perfect, truly beautiful writing and It has the words entwined in a weave of unsurpassed beauty do I love it? You know I do. Truly exquisite excellent writing absolutely excellent. I’m left mouth agape and the images and the way you write it is incredible. Utterly utterly perfect. Well done darling heart well done indeed

how can you miss what you never had~

But I still miss it all the time!

Marsha, I've always been partial to a bump now and then. Thanks.

Lori, I'm learning each day to be strong. Taking it in your stride was one of the first lessons. Thanks.
