Empty as the glass I look to as cold and still as my heart the bottom, lifeless stares back at me One night gone a new day starts The sun comes up a new ray shines into my mind's scope with the dawn of this beginning and on it's wings ride hope I tell myself it's all okay that all will be forgotten But if mercy is so freely given how is it my sins are drunk away as my savior still lies rotten? Another day Another promise Another reason to cry Another Monday, another night Another drink leaves my soul dry |
