queen of sleep,  please feed my eyes
more than just this expiring of day
more than sable vested owl light

give me the fore day morn instead
that rosy fingered morn,
the incense breathing morn

water me drunken  from the day spring
of morrow pulled in reign
to present clock stop hour....

where daughter of dawn dances
with open eyelids wide
that have never known the dark

nor the close eye of day
or the empress of silence
that is queen of sleep,

that have never paled
the child of evening
leading her mother night...

queen of sleep, please feed my eyes
not of the gloaming tide
or the evening vesper

but give me the right to light
of heedlesshap, let fickle chance
wear the bedizenment of bright

with mantle of joseph colors
purposefully haphazard the guise
glove me with dawn day fingers

let me wear a chesterfield of chintz and yellow

Woah... I loved this write, Dark my dear. I had to read it twice ... and then slowly... just to catch the literal way you have with tangling tongues.

This is an enchantment! Reads like a spell being cast, and I'm completely helpless.

This insomniac truly appreciated this one.

my oh my...could this be anymore lovely..
DS..this is pure poetry in motion...superb employ of imagery, vocab and phrasing to create this ethereal beauty.
What also makes this so attractive is the subtle rhyme and flow of it...most of all its originality...you have created some impressively fresh images and thoughts in this.I read a lot of poetry and youve used quite a few words and images new or rarely seen in the world of "over use" and cliche that is a part of poetry.
(particularly my poetry)
Wonderful writing poet sir...this new hat looks good on you

Ds, every time I read something wonderful I know your name is attached to it, but this is just .....I don't have words for it.......
it just leaves me *breathless*

I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance~~(Garth)
