There seems to me-
a curse to be,
on our happy love…
All things flip side-
these days collide,
we need a head above…

There’s always a niche, we forgot to fill-
a crevice we did not see,
a fortitude of measure,
Bad luck you better believe…

Even commonplace mishap
I’ve shoveled to this curse
Bad luck gets so ugly
good luck just gets worse…

Examples? I’ve got plenty
First to top this list
the electric bill skyrockets
every time we kiss…
(smiles here…so this one is NOT so bad)

Secondly, of mundane things
The price quote for car repair
Began at just disaster
Now ranks in hell somewhere

The reverse has died
in hubby’s sweet hot rod
The damn thing stalls, no matter where-
when it’s my turn to shop…

The bank account hates my guts
(I swear it’s in for me)
Every time I check the thing-
I feel the need to scream!

Thirdly? Of this summer-
Accursed California heat
already burns my face bright red
Not to mention my poor pale seat!
(grins here)

Too much for me to mention
I’m at my crazy wicks end
I think it’s time for sedation
Bring it on, time to begin!!!

Hubby and I decided it is-
“Hormonal Hatred” disease,
I believe we have a point-
I wanna be sedated, PLEASE??!!

My oh MY what a month!!!!

"Twenty-twenty-twenty four hours to go. I wanna be sedated! Nothing to do and nowhere to go-o-oh. I wanna be sedated!"

Now that I have that Ramones song stuck in my head permanently, I will express my sympathies... I'm going to be *gulp* finally moving out in September, so I can't wait for the panic of having no money whatsoever as I scrabble to fend for myself.

lol..seems the things that just have to happen around us when we want to be wrapped in each other get just plain annoying, eh? I hope I got the right idea from this. If not..then just let me wander off into my own interpretation..lol..I'm better off that way, and sooner or later I'll smack my head on the real thought. **giggles** Loved this!

Excellent write here...
thanks for the chuckles..
although it isn't nice to chuckle
at others problems...I'm chuckling
in understanding...and nodding in appreciation.

Have you been peeking at my life Tanya?

I feel for ya', I know exactly where you're coming from!

I lived there for 18 years and know exactly what you mean.  You added a smile to my day with this read and I thank you for that.  You also reminded me of why I don't regret moving from California.  It does have it's charms, but none that I care to afford anymore.  Wonderful read.

A much enjoyed piece here. Very creative! And while describing all that can go wrong, you add in just the right amount of humor. Enjoyed the write.
