Saying good-bye
is like a child who avoids taking a bath
putting off what must be done
so you can get over it already.
I wonder why it took me so long
and why I kept fighting the battle
little did I know
I'd come out smelling like a rose.
It's water under the bridge
bubbles down the drain.....

Way cool...is that different than bathing alone?

Show you care to those you love...today.

I hate it when the bubbles are gone.

BluesSerenade,
is that the same as washing that man out of your hair?

It is only hard in our minds...once we just go ahead and do it we see how we erred...splish splash I was taking a bath....James

Sometimes it works out that way.....of course, if the child doesn't bathe....I doubt he'd be smelling like a rose...nice work dear....Next time....call me....We'll bathe together and forget about "good-byes" we'll just say...till tonight....okay?....

I guess it's human nature to put of the inevitable...forgetting how wonderful relief feels.  Enjoyed this!

Oh what lovely imagery, Lori....
I think we all do that, though.  Its hard to make changes in our lives, but I'm glad you came out smelling like a rose.

I know this may be morbid, but I was reminded of the roto-rooter commercial..."and flush your troubles, down the drain"...oh..my...I am getting warped! Very nicely done!
