"I am not the only one."
I gathered whisper from the wind.
"There are others--just like me..."
I read a poem, sent from him.

I followed trail of word--breadcrumbs--
to this place of promised sky.
An orphan found her family--
found herself within their eyes.

I gathered pens, with trembling hand,
I prayed that "they" would understand.
I'd hit "submit" with eyes shut tight--
I swore I'd write in font of LIE.

But all of me, leaked through my ink.
I wrote my love--I wrote my stink.

I wrote in metaphor, for him.
I had been dead--I lived again.
I found a passion in myself--
a rope tempered by flame of Hell.

I did not trust a soul at first.
I feared the hurt of bubble's burst.
And when, the bubble burst was him--
I was cradled by new friends.

Sometimes? Pain in retrospect,
obliviates the heart's regret.
I did not know where path would lead--
a poem sent, was planted seed.

I found a family of friends--
I learned to like myself again.

I still love him--
sacred trust--
he taught me, we do
what we must.

Exactly!  F'in perfect.  F'orgive my response.  Some need more than others.  And some get it.  Like we do, like we do not.  god, I love this, I hate this...know...you get it.  And don't.

Forgetting all I'm lacking
Completely and complete

Now this is definitely one of your best! We are all glad you followed those breadcrumbs. And I'm sad that it took so long for us to 'connect'!

Two things:

1) You are a poetry goddess. Soooooo dripping with Serenity awesomenosity.

2) Don't you love how PdV does her smiles really wide?

Who could of known way back then ...
when I was on the outside looking in.
Lost and lonely, a moth in skin too thin,
a muse searching for a place to begin again.

There in between the lines from gifted pen ..
twas in her bleed of rhymes I found me twin.

(someone has to help clean these mirrors...might as well be you.)

Serenity

You touched a place in me with the way you look, so honestly, the words made from pieces of glass, I see them reform in the grass.  Loved this!
