you can thrill them with style
you can brush up their pride
you can catch their attention with sweet cautious lies
you can always conceal your desires from deeds
and glib is your answer for the love Jones you feed.

you can play out their love
let them hold you and squeeze you
you can bend all the rules and most can't defeat you
and you'll preach out your words like gospel and creed
cause you bring hearts to trust in the dreams you concieve.

you can fill them with promise
you can capture their freedom
then purposely leave them and trash up their feelings
you can sell'em dead flowers with a hard liquored catch
and you don't blame yourself while you steal their respect.

and you'll speak out your mind
when you know you'll be cruel
and you'll quote from your street sense on triads of fools
and you can't be selective because time is your thief
but you'll always be alone to deal with your grief.

BRAVO!!! Oh my gosh, this is such a wonderful debut, sweet friend, yes, whenever we are the ones who feel guilty and selfish there is no one to blame but ourselves and we should learn to deal with the aftermath ourselves! This is excellent!!! Welcome to Passions, sweet Rebecca, may you be inspired by all of us here as we will all be inspired by your lovely words! (smiles)  I can't wait to read more of your lovely words, we all love you so much! Ooohhhhhh...and please check your E-mail for a special greeting from all of us here at Passions for you! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Rebecca, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Welcome to Passions, Rebecca...I think you're going to like it around here.  I see that Noah was right on the ball and greeted you with an E-card...if you have any questions, feel free to let us know, we're here to help!

Looks like youve got somebodys number, and knows their game!!
This is a very very cool write!!
Youve got some fantastic lines of witty word play and theme in this.
I love the street savy lingo of your phrasing. And the impact of that last verse is poetry in motion.

A big hearty welcome.  This is an amazing first post but knowing where some of your talent and wit comes from, that doesn't surprise me.  Wonderfully portrayed are your words of wisdom carrying the message, that all things come full circle.  I very much enjoyed the entire read and the flow was flawless to the end.  Don't make us wait too long for your next one.

Rebecca darling girl welcome indeed to PiP’s I know you will be an asset here. You are definitely your fathers daughter The talent simply flows all through you and I love the way you’ve written this, it’s excellently written.

I love it utterly utterly

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh
