Don’t pity the man who fears eternal night
For warmth of the sun will be here for a while
But pity the man who can walk into light
And know in his heart that it won’t make him smile
I once was afraid of improbable scenes
The worst I could conjure from imagination
But now I know fear to be of my own means
The means of a heart that is dull to sensation
I used to be moved by the brightest of days
Instant relief from my conscious’ pleading
But not even light can now burn through the haze
Of depression surrounding a life thats receding

Sounds like this was written after a Clemson loss, Kevin. Don't worry...they'll win some day

Good to see you again

A very deep poem from someone who by his pic seems so young. Do hope all is well...whether in the darkness or the light. Well done. Chris
