Poets Word

Words spill onto these pages blue
Golden phrases penned by you
Showers of letters that flow within
Sliding skilfully beneath my skin
Write me there as you speak of such
Meld me with your written touch
Take the fear and bury it deep
Pen the words my soul will keep

Your words of wonder entice me
Pull me in with your imagery
I’m swirled around and lifted high
Touched with your poetic sigh
What is the secret held by this?
The mystery of your written kiss?
The words themselves call to me
Spin me round and set me free

Scripted passages of pure light
Words that dance with sheer delight
Your writing spins wordy threads
That leap quickly to my head
I see the images that you write
Drawn with clarity written light
Then you take me on once more
Through your magic poet’s door

Marsha

There are so many here who write the way you describe here. Including you.

enjoyed this. It seems to be the time for appreciating poets.

Marsha, I just love the way you weave your tapestry of words, dear.  And I share your sentiments that we are touched and blessed by the poets and their magical use of words here in PIP. I won't be the first or last to say that you are one of them!!!!

this wonder of words,
this written prayer
for someday soon
when backs are turned

while Poet dreams burn
