A Soaring Honeybee…(Tribute to Melissa Honeybee)
By Larry Chadwick

She is waiting for her wings,
They were promised long ago.
Already they have arrived,
She doesn’t seem to know.

She left the nest some time back,
Hoping to get off the ground.
Sensing a vulnerability of her own,
Departed thinking she is earth bound.

She has been too busy looking up,
To recognize she’s begun to soar.
If she happened to look down,
She’d see she’s used her wings before.

Melissa Honeybee is higher than she knows,
With worth developed from her heart.
Misfortune turned to strength to fly,
Ability that was hers from the start.

Very sweet. Melissa does indeed soar and I'm sure this will help her to realize it. Very nice, Larry!

Larry,

Thank you for taking my
friend under your wing.
She will love this!
I'm lucky to have known
her for almost 4 years now,
she's the most unique and
generous person I've ever known.
So, thank you again for caring
this much about her
