Just An Angel Passing Through When the winds were at their hardest and the rains fell like waterfalls Someone ceased the breeze and lured the sun I'm not certain I was meant to glance at my destiny at best That's just when my visions of the sacred first begun... Now, heartfelt sings me lullabies and sweetness holds my hands So, why am I still wearing these many shades of blue? I thought once rewarded with grace it was an internal keepsake Oh, that's when I realized he's just an angel passing through... If you were never here to stay knowing your wings would carry you away Did you have to engrave my heart on your quest to chasing fear? What will I ever do when the winds are ready to lift you? Just tell me, what is it about me that ever brought you here?... I walked upon stepping stones wishing the next would be tomorrow's Another day I may have another chance for hope at last Then sunrise met with me to greet the one sent for me And, without hesitation, that angel just soared right past... I am just here sifting through his fingers like sand Going quickly, then slowing, til' the remains find it's release Then, in the blink of an eye, I'm gone, and I never even got to leave my mark God, do you think he'll ever find the strength to carry me?... I'm lingering within serene and love at it's finest Living in my minds image of the warmth like the sun I swear, God, I'm on a mission to forgetting But, I think it's gonna take dying to get it done... Why did he ever have to brand me through my valley of darkness? Why would he give the world only something he can lend them? I pray he looks back and sees me the second time around Oh, God, if not, can I follow him back to heaven?... Sauni @~~~>~~ |
