On A Hot August Night

Words written on my calendar
on a hot August night.
Words to say I had met someone
special to bring my heart delight.
At that time I couldn't possibly know the meaning of the words my calendar would hold.
So many other times I wrote similar words
but love failed to unfold.
And yet ever since then she has been in my arms
as I remember with fondness that hot August night
and the words I wrote on my calendar.
"I MET A WOMAN I REALLY LIKE."
Yes I still like her
and I love her too.
Honey forever you have been
my sweetheart since that hot
August night when I met you.

barrier of my mind,
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you
into the shadows of my heart

Very touching poem with quite an impact.  I'm sure that special someone would be deeply touched.

Of that tongue’s uttering, yet I know the sound:" "Romeo and Juliet"
