wear worthy my testimony of bane
where on distant annoyance I wriggled
a dragon ship with folded oars
like wreath on flaccid sea encircled

my mind of winebibbed thoughts
beveraged to pliant syrup of wing
as a windjammer marooned a braggart
my heart voice diminutive in allure

I poured my virtue down the gullet
of your waiting gait with vocable rhyme
and you lapped it wanton with virago virgo
nullifying my curse of chastity with vampish bold

bewitcher of rapacity, vapor of protean
you obscure the compass of my arrogance
and fluctuate my remedy to watered sand
you usher my soul to vanish in volatile blur

and yet my solicitude is no Solomon waiting
for the soot of your soother
the black residue of your conjure
wear well the lament of your sombre knight

and on morrow rise with side glance amusement

Ah, yes......painting those vivid pictures on a captivating canvas......giving the observer morsels to chew over.....love this, how your sombre knight expresses himself!! It's enticing......

The music is playing...it's your time to dance!

Good Morning, DS

"I poured my virtue down the gullet
of your waiting gait with vocable rhyme
and you lapped it wanton with virago virgo
nullifying my curse of chastity with vampish bold"

The English language curves to your meaning, like trees following a river.  Enjoyed this.

You master words like an artist masters the canvas.
This is one heck of a cool, vivid write.  I have already read it three times and I find something new everytime.
Very well done, poet

Also, I have read many of your poems before, but, I find that I'm at such a loss of expression that I rarely reply.  My point is, that your talent blows me away, and, now you know

Take care,
Melissa~

*Sitting here smiling at Melissa's reply and nodding*
I too do the same thing...
totally captivated by your words
I sit speechless...unable
to make my fingers
move.

~Somewhere in my heart I'm always
dancing with you in the summer rain~
