As an eagle " 'You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself" NIV Exodus 19:4. I am an eagle You are my prey I seek to devour you As you run and play. You cannot hide In the brightness of day And so you return Into shadows of gray. You seek out the night For safety your way And hide in the blight Of disease and decay. Your journey is futile Your destiny's death Unless you become An eagle's breath.
