Man Thoughts

Her voice slow-husked
his shell and found the silk
of his words,

she pulled gingerly so as not to break
that slender thread

kind she was
with eyes that lingered
then crept
into his heart by promise

of eyelashes falling slowly over pools
that invited drowning as optional

he chose to float, instead,
in warm green,
watching irises vibrate
round his self,
wondering, why him?

Trying to read her thoughts, as if,
then blushing..
he thought only men
were bold…

he delighted in his being wrong.

And pleased, was he, by
her tenacity.

to hide her desire..
