Verse 1:
The lonely man sitting in the bar
On his fourteenth beer
And counting wears the mask of shame
He's broke and still he spend his day here
'Cause he's to afraid to go home
Afraid to face his wife
With the bad news about how they
Were left finacial broke over night

Chorus:
The world as we know it is falling part
when someone have to go so far
Just to make it another day
What have we become? What is this place?

Verse 2:
Single mother to two struggles hard
To support her Fam'ly
Painfully she wears the mask of faith
Got no money to buy groceries
But when the children ask her
Everything is OK
Her tears tell another story
She were a prostitute with no pay

Verse 3:
Downtown, fourteen year old kid on drugs
'Cause he dropped out of school
He wears the mask of pretending
Hanging with his homies acting cool
He's not home very offen
All they do is argue
Sick and tired of fam'ly problems
And social service, of paying dues
