            Shadow Arms

An aged tree torn and drawn,
Gnarled and withered and worn,
Shades in place wreaths of lace,
Cradled arms of shadowed space.

Gently writing weightless braille,
Shrouding round a listless male,
Lifting him into the night,
The only guide a star in sight.

Hand in hand with dream to go,
In silent prayer to help it so,
Launching free of lifes hard core,
To sail the dark of evermore.

Peace shines out his upturned face,
He leaves this sad and lonely place.
Love now gone this earthly haven,
Stolen by a stealthy raven.

Morning sheds the wreath of mourn,
The heart of him and spirit gone.
Beneath the tree he leaves his clay,
His flesh and bone to melt away.

And now in heaven shine two star,
A light to show you where they are.

Seymour Hi there, sometimes when a thought is written it hovers in the air and reaches into those places inside where special treasures are kept. These are the little silvery thoughts that keep you when the day is too grey, or long. And how often have these thoughts fallen from your pen to be picked up by my soul? Mum is always right when she talks of quality writing, she said I’d learn much from reading you and I think I do. Thank you.

You do know that I love this don’t you? it is an excellent example of your wonderful writing

Gently writing weightless braille,
============================

just came back to worship this properly ...
do you truly know how cool that line is...
not only the alliteration...but the intend and poetic premise.

Wow.  I really enjoy this poem.  It has a steady melody, and your choice of words and wording is excellent.  I like poems that sound this way, and with your description, I can see this picture.
