There are the thoughts of now and then
Also the feelings of was and when
A loneliness of looking deep inside
Seeing the truths from which we hide

To sift like flour til all does lay
As fine as dust on a windy day
The winds of remorse can blow so strong
Leaving us to feel of only the wrong

But let the sweetness of calm curl the lips
Hold your world with gentle fingertips
For nothing was so bad we can’t overcome
To change to peace for the total sum

Too often we look at what could have been
Instead of living in the now and then
As the seas of grass and water do roll
Accept for a fact that we have paid our toll

The coin of exchange was experiences had
To teach us that good overcomes the bad
Bad thoughts will salt the fertile ground
Bringing a crop which will continually hound

So leave the seeds of happy thought
And accept what has been and what was taught
Breath in the fragrance of clean new air
Begin once more to accept life’s dare

When you lay the sticks down on
the fire so that all might come
to hear, we do more than hear,
we come to feel, and sense, that
there is more for us to learn.

Keep teaching, please...

Beautiful poetry...and beautiful to have you back here.

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.
