For the new FBI...Forbidden Beliefs Investigators

Perhaps when one
has the audacity to maintain
unpopular beliefs
and appearances,
and perhaps a propensity
to verbosity,
‘tis best to maintain
anonymity,
or a shadowy capacity
of perspicacity,
or at the very least,
mendacity,
when confronted by
the new FBI.
Therefor,
I hereby confess
I shall not divulge
what I do not know
of perceived reality,
for I am prone
to creativity
and poetry,
and do not always
"Tell the truth,
the whole truth,
and nothing but..."
I reserve the right
to remain silent
while I obtain
proper legal counsel,
that I may be assured
of poetic justice.

you said what i wanted to say, but in such a well worded way.
your cruel and unusual punishment maybe a hole in the ground with no pen or paper.

Now that was funny but Karen's comment was the cherry on this sundae, and of course your correction was the whipping cream!

Thanks for your replies. I'm delighted that this poem made so many laugh.
It's not a bad list, as I would be in the company of such notables as one of my heros, MLK, though his name is currently on the inactive list.
