  For my Granddaughter

She wears a flower in her hair
and subtle smile upon her lips
A lovely face of purity
a glass of lemonade she sips.

She's only five years old right now
with wisdom far beyond her years
She understands me very well
her hugs can wipe away my tears.

She's like a delicate pink rose
but so much more, she does not fade
She has such sweetness in her heart
this precious child my daughter made.

She's just an angel from above
who's added to my life so much
I'll love her through eternity
this little girl with heaven's touch.

If anyone would like to see her picture, scroll towards the bottom of my family page http://www.geocities.com/stournas/familypoems.html

Cat...watch out...they grow up as quick as our own did...my little angel, Morgan is now ten...and I don't know where the time went with her, either...

Dear Sandra, this is a lovely write for what seems a wonderful grand daughter, enjoy the early years as they pass so quickly. Love is there to find and share.

Take care, enjoyed the read.

Awwww, this is so sweet Sandra. What a precious little angel she is. They’re so cute at that age aren’t’ they? My niece is a little older than this now, but still brings me such great joy.  You should have put a picture of her in this post, so we could all see her. Though, I’ve seen the pictures of her on your home page, and all of your granddaughters are adorable.

Oh what a lovely poem. Granddaughters are so special. And, they grow so fast. Just like our children did.
