She had a flower in her hair and a tear in her eye.
The world was just too cruel for an angel to survive.
She learned all about the lying, all about the pain.
The world was just too cruel.
She would never be the same.
They tore at her wings and stole her golden halo.
Her satin shoes were muddy and her white dress had yellowed.
Her harp, the strings were broken.
Her trumpet had been bashed.
The world was just too cruel.
Her heart they stole and smashed.
Her Bible had been torn.
Her faith had been scorned.
The world was too cruel.
She knew she had been warned.
Yet she kept moving on.
This world was gonna change.
She kept moving on, Jesus never out of range.
She had a flower in her hair and a tear in her eye..No matter how cruel the world was, she would fight to survive.

Don't hold back the words you really mean.

(big huggssssssss) Oh Melissa, this poem about broke my heart reading it, sweet friend, it saddens me to see so many innocent people hurt by others and I only wish people can be more respectful to one another and that angels wings never again will be torn and trumpets and lutes will never stop playing with peace! (sigh) My heart goes out to them all, sweet friend, you are a true angel of words, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Melissa, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Melissa, I hear your words and they have a familiar ring to them... Well Penned, my dear, I loved all the images here even as they touched my heart like a wrecking ball. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Love, Light and Peace,
