I followed her into the bathroom,
I didnt know what was going down soon,
She opened her peer pressure,
and passed out her death treasure,
I held one in my palm,
they smiled with acceptance I was so calm,
I lied, my mind went crazy,
my head went hazy,
there are supposed to be my sisters,
not hurtful mind blisters,
they betrayed my trust,
and shoved in my hand this must,
I will never injest this,
I still want my first kiss!
As they went to swallow there bang,
I turned my hand and put mine in the can
I told them i swallowed,
and they let me follow
The lie I spread to fit in,
was my biggest sin
I was caught in my lie,
when I told my true story,
all I got was a sigh,
It was just my fualt,
I was to slow,
I should have walked out and said NO!
I messed up my future,
just so I could be cooler
my friendship was fake,
atleast I relized that for my sake,
My so-called best friend,
just ruined my perfect 8th grade end.

but you were strong in this tale..and didn't follow suit..and I would rather you have lied to your friends and lived to tell it...but then again, one must look at who their "friends" are.

Allie, you were in a tough situation, but you know what? You did the right thing. I would have done the same in your situation. Normally, lying isn't cool, but you did what you could. Great write and nice to meet you!

Ahh, eighth grade. Brings back memories. Not all of 'em good, mind you... I like the way that you stood up about the situation though. Hindsight is always 20/20. Don't beat yourself up over it; instead learn from your mistake. Geeze, I sound like an adult here
