What Fate! What fate was it... of the myriad of stars up in the sky at night my eyes befell upon the one that held your light? What luck was there... that of all the places a flake of snow could land the one that held your soul would fall upon my hand? What chance could be... that of all the grains of sand that lay beneath the sea the one that held your love should make it's pearl in me? What awe it is... what fate, what luck, what chance, what miracle devine, of all the heartbeat symphonies your heart would beat in tune to mine! may 2002 Poetry is an expression of feelings. I do not write poems, but rather, the poems use me to write themselves. |
