Loss

There are no words to tip the scale
When you are swallowed, by a whale
And the light of day turns to night
Without a reason wrong or right

A piece of you were cut and drawn
A piece of your heart was shorn.
And the hurt has pierced your soul
Placed a stone upon your goal.

Every whispers, whispers why
As acid rain falls your eye
Madness echoes out in call
Through a dark and empty hall

Empathy is but a word
A cup of sorry that is heard
But the silence will be felt
And all the anger must be dealt.

For life has no guaranty
And even less fraternity
All will bow eternal change
Even though we deem it strange.

So bend my friend, weather and bend
We’re all together, in the end.

but VERY close, sy...very close.
Your generous spirit wept in word in this.
Hugs.

Seymour darling boy your words of so much compassion and heart seem to pierce the fog that clouds the soul with a ray of empathy. You’ve written Loss as no other can, thank you for this.

You always manage to convey to my heart the exact feeling it wishes to express but is unable to do so. I am simply unable to express the deep feelings of compassion and empathy in a way that would indicate how much I feel this. So I’ll simply say Amen to this and thank you darling boy.

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

So many times now...your words have been a lesson in humility and humanity....
this is an exquisite example of both.
and the reasons of why this poem comes to be, is born of your compassion and tender "touchless touch" ...that has come to mean so much.
Love you Stinky

So much truth you've written here Sy! Like Baladeer says it's almost impossible but we all try in our simple way.

This is so powerful and so poignant... you've described the indescribable ache that threatens sanity and the smothering helplessness against sorrow... and done so beautifully.
