For my 100th originating post, an attempt in the style of 1slick_lady.

SHE

this gentle breeze
was once
a gale
in which
a ship
just could not sail
but now
in calmer waters
moored
the captain
is at once
allured
there swimming
off his bow
is seen
a maiden
all a-tressed
in green
he watches
as she swims
to shore
avowing
that he'll sail
no more

Your sail is up and catching a gentle poetic breeze. Very nice flow. An excellent attempt at style 'imitation.' Hope she enjoyed this as much as I did.
