The Past

When I look at your picture
Tears swell up in my eyes.
My heart starts beating faster...
My hands turn as cold as ice.
Memories start coming back...
Memories of those wonderful days.

All of the sudden I am back in the past...
Holding your hand,
Kissing your lips...
In those wonderful days when you and I were one.

Ten posts definitely qualifies as being new! LOL And you shouldn't be disappointed about making new friends here either. Nice poem. I struggle with free verse but you do it well. Welcome and I hope you enjoy it here as much as me. Watch for Sunshine. If you haven't gotten your surprise you will.
